Dear Rugby family,
Well it is 18:30 Monday evening, and my heart, body and soul are still reeling from yesterday’s first tournament of the year. As always pre-tournament anticipation was high. Maybe higher this year than ever before (I tried blaming it on the 800g of cod, plus rice, juice, tea etc. that I had consumed at breakfast). But seriously, joking aside, this was the biggest test of our P17 and P15 teams ever. Recruiting during the last two and a half years has been non-stop. The only aspect that has exceeded this is the all-year-round training. On average there has been a constant 95% turn-out, at both indoor and outdoor sessions. Fantastic! The culmination of this was a great fun opening day. Parents, players, trainers, relatives, shed-loads of Attila committee members and teams. In short – a day to celebrate Rugby. On this day we relaxed, worked, laughed, cleaned, organized, planned, met old friends/new friends, bonded and cemented Attila and Red Saints, plus made a reasonable profit through our gourmet thrifty Moms and Dads.
